Rare Bowl-Shaped Stoneware Jar with Manganese Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. GLAZIER / HUNTINGDON, PA," circa 1840, squat-shaped, semi-ovoid jar with stylishly-formed rim, decorated arond the midsection with a flowering vine design executed in purplish-colored "mulberry" manganese glaze. Outstanding color. Impressed with rare Glazier maker's mark at midsection. Y-shaped hairline on underside, continuing 4 1/2" onto side of jar. Additional hairlines on underside. H 7 1/2" ; Diameter 10".
