Scarce Miniature Copper-Glazed Redware Jar, probably Greene County, TN, possibly Click Pottery, circa 1830-1870, ovoid jar with pronounced, squared rim, the surface covered in a dark-green lead-and-copper glaze. Exhibited: Tennessee Turned, Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900, Museum of East Tennessee History, May 16-October 30, 2011. Provenance: Wahler writes the following about this jar in her notes: "Marc [King] purchased 2 miniatures from Clyde vines, Johnson City. His family was from Greene. Marc thought both pieces were from Greene." Two rim chips and a minor rim nick. A tiny nick to bottom edge of jar. H 2 1/16".
