Rare and Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Washington County, VA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-squared rim with inner flange to hold a lid, brush-decorated with intricate flowering vine designs on two opposing sides interspersed with two large stylized flower blossoms. Exceptional size with strong decoration. A thin 3" crack from rim and a small rim chip. H 4 5/8".
