Large-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, GA origin, second half 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and two vertically-applied open handles at the shoulder, the surface covered in a striated greenish-brown alkaline glaze over a light clay ground. Very nice condition with two hairlines from rim, measuring 1 3/4" and 1", two minor chips to top of rim, and some in-the-firing chipping around bottom edge and on underside. H 17 3/4".
