Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, GA or AL origin, circa 1850-1880, thin-walled, cylindrical pitcher with flaring collar, rounded molding below collar, and ribbed handle, decorated with incised straight and wavy line decoration to midsection and collar. A related churn in this auction with qualities of Randolph County, Alabama potter, John Lehman, is attributed by Wahler to Stockton, Georgia, with her noting that Lehman traveled back and forth between Georgia and Alabama. Restoration to rim and spout. Light wear to handle. H 11 1/8".
