Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bean Pot, GA origin, second half 19th century, wide-mouthed, semi-ovoid form with arched tab handles, the surface covered in a dark-brown to olive alkaline glaze. Provenance: Ex-Rob Hicklin; Ex-Howard Smith. A few rim chips. A 1 1/2" flake and wear to one handle. Heavy chipping and wear to opposing handle. Sealed cracks in underside extending onto base. Three thin cracks from rim, measuring approximately 4", 3", and 2 1/2". Areas of surface wear. H 8 7/8" ; W (at rim) 10 3/4".
