Scarce Large-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Vase with Brown Slip Decoration, Middle TN origin, late 19th or early 20th century, squat-shaped, ovoid form with angular shoulder molding, flaring, crimped rim, and applied clay studs to shoulder and body. Dipped brown-slip decoration to bottom half, the entire surface coated in a clear salt glaze. Rim chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9 3/4" ; Diam. (at base) 7".
