Very Rare Diminutive Anna Pottery Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Pig Flask, Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1865, molded flask in the form of a reclining sow with opening at rear and incised details to face and hooves, incised on one side with the inscription, "Good Old Bourbon / in a hogs-." Surface covered in a mottled brown Albany slip glaze. Aspects of the mold and incising indicate this flask was made during the Kirkpatricks' early years of pig flask production, circa 1865. It is the smallest Anna Pottery pig flask that we have ever offered. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. The small number, "54," is written in later ink on the underside. L 5 1/2".
