Fine Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J.D. CRAVEN", Randolph or Moore County, NC origin, mid 19th century, skillfully-potted, semi-ovoid jug with flared spout and applied strap handle, impressed near the base of the handle with a "JD. CRAVEN" maker's mark above a two-gallon capacity stamp. Appealing slender form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor base wear. H 17".
