Two NY State Stoneware Advertising Jugs, fourth quarter 19th century, a one-gallon salt-glazed jug featuring the incised and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "Dyer- / Albany / N.Y.," paired with a small Albany-slip-glazed jug, incised "Wood & Utley / 103. N. Washington St. / Rome. N.Y." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Larger with two spout chips, a flake and wear to handle, some scratches to front, and an unglazed area to reverse and base on front. Smaller in very nice condition with a worn spot to reverse and side, sticker residue to reverse, and some other residue to surface. H (of smaller) 7".
