Four Pieces of Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, late 19th century, a molded, Bristol-slip-glazed "ROOT BEER" mug with tavern scene, a molded, Bristol-slip-glazed "BOSTON BAKED / BEANS" pot with lid, and a salt-glazed crock, impressed "H.J. HEINZ CO. / KEYSTONE PICKLING & PRESERVING WORKS / TRADE / MARK / PITTSBURGH, U.S.A," all attributed to White's Pottery, Utica, NY; together with a small salt-glazed jar, stamped "DALE ST BAKERY / BOSTON MASS." Provenance: James Chebalo Collection. Mug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Bean pot in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Bakery jar in very nice condition with an in-the-firing surface fissure to shoulder on front, not visible on interior. Heinz crock with a short line on underside, extending onto base, two minor nicks to interior of rim, a minuscule nick to front, and staining. H (of Heinz crock) 5 3/8".
