Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA and OH origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon cylindrical jar, stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & / CO. / GREENSBORO / PA.," paired with a two-gallon ovoid jar with freehand "2" accented with wavy flourishes, OH origin. Hamilton jar with a shallow 1 1/8" in-the-firing flake at base, the cobalt with wear, blurriness, and some missing spots. Other jar with two rim chips, staining, and a salt drip at base. H (of taller) 12 1/2".
