Scarce Redware Jar with Two-Color Slip Decoration, American, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tapered shoulder and flared rim, the body accented with two rows of incised banding, the surface slip-cup-decorated with wavy, vertical lines of copper slip interspersed with vertical dashes of cream-colored slip, all under a clear lead glaze. Flakes and wear to surface. Rim wear. A tight spider crack on underside, continuing onto base in a few places. A minor base chip. H 6 3/4".
