Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "L. LEHMAN & CO / WEST 12TH ST NY," circa 1860, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, brush-decorated with a grape cluster hangin from a vine with several leaves and corkscrewing tendrils. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. An in-the-firing contact mark to front. Some fry to cobalt. A narrow in-the-firing contact mark (flake) at base on reverse. Some minor in-the-firing pings to proper right side of jug. H 14 1/2".
