Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JORDAN," NY State origin, circa 1840, highly-ovoid jug with squared spout, brush-decorated with two long-stemmed flowers emanating from a spotted, heart-shaped group of leaves, flanked by vertical swags. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some minor staining and minor in-the-firing flaws. H 14 1/4".
