Extremely Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Ring Jug with Incised Decoration, attributed to Chester Webster, Randolph County, NC, mid 19th century, wheel-thrown, hollowed ring form with finely-potted and applied spout, the spout decorated with incised striping above an incised drape motif, accented with impressed circles, the shoulder decorated with four incised stars. The first ring flask by Webster that we have ever offered. An in-the-firing line to interior of ring. Otherwise excellent condition. A small spout chip. L 9 1/2".
