Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Inscribed "AB," Shenandoah Valley of VA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated around the shoulder with swags and two horizontal floral designs. Incised "AB" below, possibly referring to a member of the Bell family. A thin 2 1/2" crack from rim. A minor chip to interior of rim. H 7 1/4".
