Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, OH origin, mid to late 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug with brushed script "2" underscored by stripes, mid 19th century, paired with a four-gallon double-handled jug with sllip-trailed script "4" underscored by a looping line motif. Two-gallon jug with tight spider lines to upper body, including one descending from spout. A small in-the-firing chip to spout. A 1 1/2" line on underside, extending 6 7/8" up base of jug. Some staining and old paint residue to surface. Four-gallon jug with some tight lines and subtle flakes to shoulder area, a salt drip to proper left handle, the underside slightly bowed. H (of shorter) 14 3/4".
