Two Glazed Redware Jars, Bell Family, Waynesboro, PA, second half 19th century, both of ovoid form with tooling to shoulder and rim, one with lead-and-manganese glaze, stamped "UPTON M. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa," circa 1895, the other with clear lead glaze over a pumpkin-orange ground, stamped "JOHN BELL" on underside, circa 1840-1880. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Upton Bell jar with a rim chip and light rim wear. John Bell jar with flakes to interior base, in otherwise excellent condition. H (of shorter) 4 3/4".
