Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, 19th century, a one-gallon jug, stenciled "JOHN WEAVER / STONEWARE / CINCINNATI O.," circa 1885; a three-gallon ovoid jug with brushed foliate decoration, "CLARK & CO. / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1840; and a two-gallon cylindrical jar with slip-trailed floral motif, MA origin, circa 1880. Weaver jug with tight spider cracks to shoulder and an in-the-firing contact mark in the form of a chip and applied piece of clay. Clark jug with poorly-restored handle, in otherwise excellent condition. Jar with rim chips, a chip and nick to proper left handle, and a small base chip. H (of Clark jug) 15 3/4".
