Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with a clover plant motif bearing four blossoms. V-shaped swag motif to spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Impressed at midsection with Peter Herrmann two-gallon maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 13".
