Glazed Redware Cuspidor, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid form with footed base, tooled shoulder, and tall, flaring collar, the surface covered in a streaky reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Rarely-found excellent condition with very minor surface wear. H 7 1/8" ; Diam. (at rim) 7 3/4".
