Small-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "H.C. SMITH / ALEXA / D.C.," Wilkes Street Pottery, Alexandria, VA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a clear salt glaze. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Very nice condition with a small piece of adhered clay to rim and some light surface wear. H 6 3/8".
