Glazed Redware Jug, Northeastern U.S. origin, second or third quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, ribbed handle, and semi-rounded spout, the lead-glazed surface featuring dark-orange coloration with olive-and-orange spotting. Old initials painted on underside in a black stain, "mc / HB." Heavy chipping to base. A scratch to glaze at midsection. A minor in-the-firing lime ping to handle. H 11 1/2".
