Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed floral design featuring a stylized, stripe blossom with long, graduated stamen. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with some residue to spout. H 13 3/4".
