Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "G. BRAYTON / UTICA / UTICA," NY State origin, circa 1827-1832, highly-ovoid jug with tapered spout, brush-decorated with an open-centered tulip. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A chip and a small in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. A small chip to base of spout. Staining to surface. Some small in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 15".
