Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a tulip emanating from a stylized ground, flanked by grasses, beside a freehand "2." Exfoliation to shoulder on reverse. Crazing to upper body, spout, and handle. Small flakes to surface. Small in-the-firing pings to surface. An in-the-firing contact mark near base of reverse. Staining to surface. H 14".
