Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "SWAN & STATES / STONINGTON.," CT origin, circa 1825, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with brushed cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Essentially as-made condition with a 1/2" circular in-the-firing ping to proper right side of jug and a piece of a clay adhered to top of handle. H 9 1/2".
