Scarce Spongeware Frog, OH origin, Dated "Oct 22 1898," molded figure of a seated frog with Bristol-slip-glazed surface, decorated with a mixture of teal, blue, and brown sponging. Incised eyes and mouth highlighted in navy slip. Underside inscribed in pencil, "gail(?) / Oct 22 1898." Excellent, essentially as-made condition. L 4 3/8".
