Scarce Stoneware Beer Bottle, Stamped "BOSTON / R. BEER / COLE & CO.," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, cylindrical bottle with tapered neck and rounded mouth, impressed with the large cobalt-highlighted advertising for Boston Root Beer sold by Baltimore bottler C.A. Cole in partnership with C.F. Brown. Additionally impressed with their trade name, "COLE & CO.," on one side. A crack extending from neck to base. A chip to exterior of spout and some wear to interior of spout. A 7/8" base chip. Light wear to shoulder. H 10".
