One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a swag and hanging flower motif. Additional swag decoration below each handle. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to rim. A small chip to one handle. A minor base chip. A 3" Y-shaped line to interior, not visible on exterior. A 2 1/2" Y-shaped to exterior, not visible on interior. H 6 1/4" ; Diam. 11 1/4".
