Lidded Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, wide, cylindrical form with arched tab handles, brush-decorated with leaf motifs on the front and reverse and highlights to the handle terminals. Includes original swag-decorated lid. Crock in very nice condition with a small rim chip. Lid with tight cracks throughout, chipping along flange on underside, and minor chipping to knob. H (including lid) 6" ; Diam. (of lid) 9 3/4".
