One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with tooled collar, brush-decorated with a swag-and-hanging-flower motif around the body. Swag decoration flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Incised diagonal slashes to collar, as-made. A chip to front of spout. Some in-the-making flaws to surface. H 11 3/4".
