Rare One-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J. MILLEr / MAKEr," John and James Miller Pottery, Strasburg, VA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and arched tab handles, impressed at the shoulder with rarely-seen "J. MILLEr / MAKEr" stamp. Two chips to proper left handle. One chip to proper right handle. A 2 3/4" reglued section to rim on reverse including two chips. A small base chip and a few minor base chips. H 9 1/4".
