Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "M. & T. MILLER / NEWPORT.PA," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with three flowers emanating from a central stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. A 1 1/2" rim chip on front. A 2 1/8" rim chip on reverse. Small rim chips. Chips and wear to handles. A Y-shaped hairline across underside, part of which forms a 1 3/4" Y at base on reverse. Some light fry to cobalt. Staining to surface. H 9 1/4".
