Three Stoneware Jars with Original Letter, Stenciled "E.B. TAYLOR / RICHMOND, VA", attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, all of cylindrical form, with one, one-and-a-half, and two-gallon capacities, each bearing "E.B. TAYLOR / Richmond, Va." maker's stenciling. Included with this lot is an original letter written on E.B. Taylor letterhead, featuring an image of ceramic tableware and the printed text "E.B. TAYLOR & CO, / IMPORTERS AND WHOLESALE DEALERS IN / Crockery & Glassware, / TINWARE, CLOCKS, &c.", dated Nov 22, 1889. One-gallon jar with chip on interior of rim. One-and-a-half-gallon jar with crack extending from underside to shoulder, a warped area on side, the interior of rim with a chip and wear. Two-gallon jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor stone ping on reverse. Letter in excellent condition. Dimensions (of letter) 9" x 5 5/8".
