Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with turned head and striped body, perched on a flowering vine. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Restoration to spout. Underside is slightly raised. Otherwise excellent condition.
