Glazed Redware Butter Tub, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.", circa 1880, cylindrical form with tooled banding and applied rope handles, the surface decorated with heavy manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John W. Bell maker's mark. Wear to rim, bottom edge, and one handle. Some very minor surface wear to opposite handle. H (to top of handles) 6" ; Diameter 8 5/8".
