Two Stoneware Crocks with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.", New York State origin, circa 1885-1905, a one-and-a-half-gallon and two-gallon crock, each decorated with similar floral motifs. Cobalt highights to maker's marks. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. One-and-a-half-gallon crock with some staining, a 5 1/2" hairline from rim on front, a small handle chip, and a thin 3 1/2" crack on reverse, extending 1 1/2" onto underside. Two-gallon crock with a thin top-to-bottom crack from rim on far right side of front.
