Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware "DYE STUFFS" Jug, New York State origin, circa 1835, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a boldly-brushed cobalt circle surrounding the advertising "SHEPPARD & MORGAN / DYE STUFFS / 47 FULTON ST NY". Very nice overall condition with a 1 1/4" Y-shaped line and in-the-firing contact mark to front.
