One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.", circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stylized design of a leaf accented with a dotted trail. Light cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A short vertical line at base on front. A smooth, in-the-firing base chip on front.
