Large-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn with Applied Grapes Decoration, Incised "Cleater & Billie Meaders / 1892-1992", Georgia origin, 1992, ovoid churn with flared collar and arching tab handles, decorated with an elaborate applied and incised grapevine motif. Surface covered in a streaky olive-colored alkaline glaze with cobalt application to grapes. Incised "Cleater & Billie Meaders / 1892-1992" around collar. Underside incised "Cleater & Billie Meaders / August. 24. 1992". Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 18 3/4".
