Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Bold Cobalt Spot Decoration, Ohio origin, probably Roseville, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with tall collar and tapered rim molding, decorated with a freehand cobalt number 2 surrounded by a series of large cobalt circles interspersed with smaller daubs. Excellent large size with visually-appealing decoration. Freeze cracks on underside, continuing onto base. A 2 1/4" line to right side of spout. An additional 2 1/4" line from rim on reverse. H 14 1/4".
