Scarce One-Gallon Bedford, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "REDDING & COVALT / BEDFORD / PA". Freehand cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. A 2 3/4" in-the-firing base chip. Several tiny nicks to interior of rim.
