Two New Jersey Stoneware Jars, fourth quarter 19th century, a two-gallon jar with bird design, stamped "BELMONT AVE. POTTERY", paired with a one-gallon jar with cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "J.C. THOMAS / TRENTON. N.J.". Belmont Ave. Pottery jar with large area of filled exfoliation to reverse, a thin 1 3/4" crack from rim on side of jar, and shallow nicks to inner wear a lid would rest. Thomas jar in excellent condition with wear to inner rim.
