Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, probably TN origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jar with tall collar, semi-rounded rim, and arched strap handles, decorated with incised straight and wavy line decoration around the shoulder. Surface covered in a dark-olive alkaline glaze. Excellent condition with a tiny nick on interior of rim and traces of old red paint to surface. H 11 1/2".
