Two Pieces of Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Joe "Jug" Johnson, Laurens, SC, late 19th or early 20th century, a one-gallon ovoid pitcher and two-gallon churn, each covered in an olive-brown alkaline glaze and decorated around the shoulder with a cobalt stripe. Churn includes rutile accents. Both in excellent condition, the churn with some wear to inner rim for lid. H (of churn) 12 3/8".
