Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with four freehand stripes across the front. Traces of old light-blue paint to surface. Some mottling and staining to surface. Interior of rim with small chips and wear. A 4" hairline across underside, continuing 1 1/4" up base. H 7 7/8".
