Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Charleston, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled advertising, "BEN BAER / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR DEALER. / CHARLESTON. W.VA." Freehand stripe decoration above and at base. Base with stenciled "2" flanked by flourishes. Restored handle. Restored cracks to reverse, proper right side, and underside. H 15".
