Stoneware Canning Jar with Martinsburg, WV Advertising, probably Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "FRAZER & BISHOP / DEALERS / IN / GENERAL / MERCHANDISE / MARTINSBURG / W VA." A small rim chip and small worn spot to rim. A small chip to inner wax sealer rim. Some light surface wear. A small in-the-firing ping near base on front. H 8 5/8".
